Harold called this morning He's been up on coke for days Someone stole his purple crayon How can he create? Max came back from work this evening He still lives at home When he gets into fights, he sits down He puts on his white wolf suit Then max sails away But his momma comes-a running in and asks "Hey son, watcha doing on the floor in those ripped up clothes? Max they haven't fit since you were four years old" We once dreamt too We were once read to Please don't read another story to put me to sleep I have dreams with them When we're older And you've disillusioned the ends Paper dropped his trousers in a public restaurant Screamed of strings and sealing wax and "Little Jackie, Little Jackie Wants to play cause I found Puff's scales Buried underneath our ship so now I know But dad where's Honah Lee? Where's my fantasy? Everyday I wait for him but now I know exactly what you did" We once dreamt too We were once read to We once sang Max don't ya go home They'll make you stay up Keep on building your world as it's building you Max don't ya go home You should stay out Keep on building your world as it's building you Harold called this morning He's been up on coke for days Someone stole his purple crayon How can he create? Or design his way back home Without his neon vision? The terror just lasts on and on and on and on and Are you happy now? In your mixed up worlds? Your luscious dreams have fall'n apart You try to scream but you're just singing loud Please don't read another story to put me to sleep I have dreams with them When we're older And you've disillusioned the ends

She tiptoes the forest Spreading her light everywhere Bright are all of her children With her fingers running through their hair Though she moves kind of slowly The world can feel her smile She'll hurt if you stare too long Even if you're distanced by miles But I can see the sunlight through your eyes Shining down on all of nature's childs Let me shower you with my voice Watch the rainbows run wild Walking on the thin line of daybreak Holding for your day I saw you veiled behind bright beams You were holding sweet flowers for May Your silhouette breathing for some rain As you kissed the clouds Suddenly we're drowning in lightning And falling through the ground But I can see the sunlight through your eyes Shining down on all of nature's childs Let me shower you with my voice Watch the rainbows run wild Gonna watch the rainbows run wild Gonna watch the rainbows run

The blue skies are over baby Don't look at me like your crazy too A long walk won't be convincing But this whole city will be deserted soon The sidewalk, the waves roll over We go swimming and love each other Drive home and cook some supper Don't you know what we're doing to one another? The blue skies are over my baby A red world might be exotic A tiny bottle to add expense to her Take your vacation in the tropics You don't leave home There'll be nowhere to return Go out and join a workforce Come home and chew your mouth off Come home and chew your mouth off But don't ever think about leaving the workforce The blue skies are over my baby I can see the Coliseum As it looked two thousand years ago The spires standing in the sunset Block after block the golden city glows Yeah, the world was over When you and yours were outside singing You got a vision? Let's kill it honey All we want is to save what's left You got a vision? Kill it honey All we want is someone to save us Yeah, the world is over When you and yours are outside screaming The blue...

Rocking chair, rocking chair You're way too still over there Remind me of times When the cupboard had food to bear Dirty floor, dirty floor I just can't clean you no more I won't be clean again Til my feet hit the distant shore Wind winds up dew drops Cropped by window panes Playing the same game We did in old age When sense was something you learned And didn't keep in a jar Unless you've been saving For that sweet candy bar Leaky roof, leaky roof I wish you had a clue I'm thirsty as hell But you're just dripping zero proof

about

After traveling around the northeast in 2010 (New York’s Arlene’s Grocery, Boston’s Wadzilla Mansion, Stamford’s Seaside Tavern), Big Mosey has released their debut EP, Homeward At Daybreak, with Çöñàr Records. Co-produced with Jeremy Sklarsky, whose recent works include Freelance Whales’ Weathervanes (Frenchkiss / Mom + Pop Records), Homeward At Daybreak explores the stories and emotions of a Brooklyn band that has yearned to leave the industrial city behind.

Big Mosey’s dirty grooving tunes nod to southern influences like Kings of Leon and grunge groups like Pearl Jam, yet ache and growl in the vein of Howlin' Wolf or Tom Waits – delirious and victorious. Through months of performing they have developed a raucous live show, captured with the recent praise, “an onlooker has a hard time stopping the replay button in their mind after seeing [their] incredible show...Big Mosey put on a spectacle.”
